Prom Art

Prom Art - Grange-over-Sands

Last Sunday of each month from April to September from 9.30am to 4pm. Our 40th event will be on Sunday June 26th.
Free Entrance

Art and Crafts in the Open Air
Come to Prom Art where you will see an interesting alternative to an art gallery or exhibition and something which is so much more informal. You will be able to chat with the exhibitors and maybe ask them to create something special for you.

Brantwood Prom Art

The 70 stalls will stretch along 600 metres of Grange Promenade. Half will have gazebos in gazeboland, whilst others prefer to have the easier open access of using tables and display panels and will be opposite the gardens and the children's play area. Buggies or wheelchairs are allowed on the prom, but not visitors' cars as the prom is too narrow for passing vehicles.

There will be fine art painted in oils, watercolours, pastels, pencil drawings and mixed media from professionals, amateurs and art tutors. Have you seen encaustic art using beeswax? You can see it here. A cartoonist will be on hand to capture the essential you. The crafts range from jewellery, ceramics, wood, textiles that include funky handbags, fascinators and scarves, dolls house miniatures and maybe a blacksmith! There really is something for all tastes and pockets at Prom Art. The atmosphere on the day is always so good, people often comment that just being there lifts their spirits.

Further details of the 125+ exhibitors coming this season are listed on our website www.promart.info. Half of the exhibitors come from outside Cumbria, such as Bolton, Bradford and Warrington. Each Sunday is slightly different and unpredictable.

You may find it helpful to check out the 'We love Prom Art Grange-over-Sands' pages on Facebook to see what other people have to say. A link is on our website. You will also find a leaflet with a map and a poster. A booking form is there if you decide to come and join us as an exhibitor, the fees are only £15 per month, but hurry as there are few spaces left this season.

These events are held six times a year on the last Sunday of each month from April to September from 9.30am to 4pm. Our 40th event will be on Sunday June 26th.

On Prom Art Sundays you will see me strolling along the prom wearing a bright yellow baseball and a deep pink Prom Art jersey*. Do stop me and have a chat.
